This Saturday we decided to take in some local art and went to the opening reception for a new exhibition at The Mercurial Gallery.
When we arrived the small gallery was packed with artists and art-aficionados alike.
The Mercurial invited artists of all media to capture the concept of "The Melt" for this juried exhibition. The exhibition's best in show (as determined by The Mercurial staff) was awarded a solo exhibition in 2014.
As we made our way around the gallery it was interesting to view the range of mediums and interpretations. There was a little bit of everything - from photography to sculpture to jewelry to painting and mixed media.
The Melt exhibition goes until March 22nd. You should definitely swing by and admire some local talent.
The gallery is located at 12 Library Place in Danbury and is open Wednesdays and Fridays 11am to 5pm, Saturdays 1pm to 5pm and Sundays 1pm to 4pm.
